Creative Ways to Give

Plan for Growth.

Explore ways to optimize Saskatoon's urban growth through a Regional and Urban Development workshop, by donating $3,000 toward promotion and travel costs for the workshop.

Equipped for Success

Furnish the Program Studio for Regional and Urban Development with computer equipment, software, a projector, drafting tables and chairs, at a cost of $15,000.

Join the Club

Place subscription science and engineering magazines in the Physics Students Society Lounge for over 100 students to keep abreast of current news in science and technology, at a cost of $600 per year.

Wig Out

Purchase Drama Department and Greystone Theatre props and costumes for a full year of productions @ $15,000 per year.

Give Artfully

Send an Art and Art History student to study abroad in Florence or Utrecht, for the European Highlight course @ $2,650 and airfare @ $1,200.

On Tour

Fund one of the Department of Music ensembles for a regional, national, or international tour: the U of S Jazz Ensemble 1, the Wind Orchestra, or the Greystone Singers, @ $5,000 per ensemble.

Go on the Record

Record a compilation CD of faculty and students in solo and chamber ensemble performances for $5,000.

The Heart of History

Update History’s Hilda Neatby Seminar Room, for meetings, interviews, tutorials and seminars, by installing a ceiling-mounted data projector, an automatic screen, window coverings, furniture and a display cabinet, at a cost of $20,000.

Safety First

Give a safety boost to the Psychology Services Centre with a card-reading door-lock system @ $500 and an installed security system @ $100 to monitor therapists working with potentially aggressive clients.

Pass the Test

Purchase a barcode reader and software for psychological tests @ $5,000.

Study in the City

Send a Women’s and Gender Studies student to New York for the summer travel study program “Representation, Embodiment and the City” for $1,000 per student.

Get the Picture

Purchase a Still Digital Camera @ $1,000 or a Digital Video Camera @ $1,500 for Women’s and Gender Studies and the Digital Media Centre.

Women and Sport

Send an accomplished student and athlete to the International Olympic Committee’s Fourth International Conference on Women and Sport in Jordan, in March 2008, at a cost of $3,500.
