College Level Services
Desktop support in the College of Arts & Science
The Arts and Science IT department has a team of qualified technicians who provide all levels of desktop support to all faculty and staff members of the college at no charge. Our services include:
- hardware /software troubleshooting
- Software development
- PC support and level 1 Mac support
- software installations
- setup of new computers, printers or rebuilding of what you currently have (including transfer of data from old systems to new)
- virus, spyware, malware checking and removal
- setup of loaner computers
- new employee setup
- email setup
- network data storage setup
- remote desktop setup
- recycling of IT equipment

University Level Services
ITS
Information Technology Services Division (ITS) is responsible for the operation and support of the campus computer network, and campus research and administrative computers. It also maintains the computer systems and programs for manipulating institutional databases such as student records, employee payroll, etc.
ITS operates a full desktop support office. This location supports every staff and faculty member on campus. ITS charges a fee for most support (rates are similar to the fees of Technical Shop Services linked below). See also the ITS Help Desk and ITS Servers/Services sites.
The Technical Shop Services Division of ITS will repair and service all types of IT hardware. See the Technical Shop Services website for more information.
The Spatial Initive
The Spatial Initiative offers professional consulting and mapping services and solutions. This group provides expertise in the management and design of Maps, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Spatial Databases for multiple applications.
